Prince George’s County, Maryland — Excalibur Dynamics, LLC (E-DN) is providing pro bono strategic support to expand the Washington, D.C.-area reach of Common Sense in the Age of Trump: A Guide to Keeping Our Republic, a timely examination of democracy, constitutional rights, the rule of law, economic justice, and the role citizens can play in protecting democratic institutions.
Written by Ronald K. L. Collins, Russell W. Huxtable, Amy L. Marasco, and Paul M. Sparrow, with a foreword by Congresswoman Sarah McBride, the book offers an accessible call to civic awareness and action at a consequential moment for American democracy.
Excalibur Dynamics is supporting the initiative through pro bono strategy, positioning, partnership development, and event planning focused on creating opportunities for the book and its authors to engage audiences throughout the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia region.
The strategy is designed to go beyond a traditional book event by exploring opportunities for broader civic dialogue involving leaders and organizations across government, law, advocacy, academia, business, and the community.
The effort includes development of a potential signature Washington-area civic forum centered on the themes of Common Sense and the approaching 250th anniversary of the United States.
Excalibur Dynamics selected the project for pro bono support as part of the firm's commitment to using its strategic expertise to advance initiatives with the potential for meaningful community and civic impact.
The engagement brings together strategic planning, stakeholder outreach, partnership development, positioning, and implementation support to help transform an important idea into a larger platform for engagement.
Common Sense in the Age of Trump has also received advance praise from Congressman Jamie Raskin and Anthony D. Romero, Executive Director of the American Civil Liberties Union.

The award represents an important milestone in a broader funding and implementation strategy developed by Excalibur Dynamics to help the Tribe move systematically from project development and planning toward future implementation.
Excalibur Dynamics approached the opportunity as more than a single federal application. The firm developed a phased strategy around the Tribe's long-term orphaned well priorities, identifying how available DOI funding opportunities could be sequenced to support development activities and build the foundation necessary to pursue subsequent implementation funding.
The strategy focused on aligning the Tribe's priorities with federal funding requirements while establishing a practical pathway from initial development through execution.
Excalibur Dynamics' work included:
• Assessing available federal funding pathways
• Developing the overall funding and project strategy
• Aligning Tribal priorities with DOI program requirements
• Structuring a phased approach from development to implementation
• Developing the competitive funding application
• Positioning the initiative for subsequent implementation opportunities
The successful award validates the first stage of that strategy and provides an important foundation for advancing the Tribe's broader orphaned well objectives.
Rather than treating funding opportunities independently, Excalibur Dynamics develops strategies around where a client ultimately needs to go—then identifies the resources, sequencing, and program structure needed to get there.
For this initiative, that means using development funding strategically to strengthen readiness and position the Tribe to pursue the resources necessary for future implementation.
The engagement demonstrates Excalibur Dynamics' approach to Funding, Growth & Program Execution: build the strategy first, secure the right resources, and create a pathway to implementation.
